Golf has been hurt by the recession. There is no doubt about that. Amidst abundant course closings and declining merchandise sales the 2009 and 2010 PGA shows had a downtrodden mood. Not this year. The industry seems to have adjusted to a level where consumer confidence is coming back. After the past years at the show, the large names like Callaway, Taylormade/Adidas, and Titleist are back to creating massive displays. There seems to be several legitimately functional innovations in club design… Not just hype. Check out Titleist’s 910 line of drivers and woods where shafts may be interchanged, and lie angle may be adjusted by the user. Scratch is making a statement with its customized wedges and clean looks. Enjoy the pictures.
